Tunes4Him.com Is Going Off The Air PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 22 January 2011 17:05

It is with a certain amount of sadness, and yet anticipation, we are announcing that on January 29, 2011, Tunes4Him.com will go off the air.  This decision was not made lightly as we have poured a great deal of resources and time into building this station into what we believe to be one of the best on the Internet.  However, after much prayer and consideration, we believe that this is the best decision.

The reasons for this decision are many.  The main decision stems back to time!  When we began this endeavor, both of us had jobs which allowed us the spare time to dedicate the hours per week needed to maintain the station.  Mark has since changed jobs and is working more demanding hours.  Scott had had five promotions at work since the beginning of this station and with each one comes additional time and travel demands.  There are other reasons as well ranging from finances to personal reasons.

We would like to thank the many listeners who have been dedicated to this station, many of you from our very early days when we had only a dozen or so listeners.  We have enjoyed bringing you Southern Gospel Music and thank you for listening.  We would also like to thank Danny Riddle, Singing By The Wayside and March Forth who are all long time advertisers on Tunes4Him.com.  We thank them for believing in our station and their loyalty in advertising with us.  We also must thank those listeners who donated money and especially to those of you prayed for our station.  It was because of you that we were able to stay on the air for nearly six years.  Finally, we need to thank John Mills.  John has been a friend of this station since day one acting as a sounding board for our ideas and helping us upload music back in the early days.  Of course, John hosted “John’s Gospel Music Show” on Tunes4Him.com for more than five years and we have loved having him on board.  I for one will miss the show.  John is still a very good personal friend to us and we look forward to possibly working with him again somewhere down the road.

Finally, Mark and Scott are not leaving Southern Gospel Music entirely.  While we are also shutting down some of our other websites for the same reasons detailed above in this note, we are going to continue to provide hosting and design services for websites.  We are also currently planning to keep the Southern Gospel Music Forum Website and the Pennsylvania Southern Gospel Music Website.  You can also catch Mark traveling with Randy Simpson Ministries from time to time and starting in 2011 you can catch Scott traveling with Barry Shirk Ministries for a few dates a year.

Once again, thank you for the support and interest you have shown to Tunes4Him.com over the years.  We have appreciated you and will miss you.

God Bless,
Scott Evans
Mark Flanagan
